Manpower Ningqiang Elementary School was built to replace Juting Central Elementary. The old school was situated only three meters away from the Baoji-Chengdu railway and Jialing River. The Sichuan earthquake in May 2008 leveled the 3-storey school building and robbed education away from 156 students.

Learning this situation, Manpower decided to sponsor the reconstruction of the new school. With the support from Manpower, the reconstruction project was commenced on 15 December 2008, and was completed one year later in October 2009. The new school now stands at a new location in Daijiaba Village, Ningqiang County, and occupies space of 3,516 m2 (11,535 sq ft), five times the size of the old school. The school can hold up to 350 students and consists of primary school building, food hall, dormitory, shower rooms, and other facilities. In addition, Manpower also donated 40 sets of computers and 220 sets of classroom furniture to the new school.
