JA Workshop

Manpower and Junior Achievement (JA) have launched a joint initiative to provide China’s teenagers with essential employability expertise through the delivery of JA Success Skills curricula and sharing of volunteers’ knowledge and experience.

JA project has been successfully organized in Shanghai & Guangzhou for 2 years. The activities include 3 workshops and 3 seminars, about 500 middle-school students attended in total. The volunteers taught 3 courses as "understand my life", "win-win thought", "self-marketing" through games, role-plays and interactivities. The volunteers also shared their work experience and knowledge to the students. 96% students said they learnt a lot of knowledge related to their future development through the activities and they would start to think about their own career path. 98% students would like to continue the study. More students said Manpower's volunteers were really professional and would like to have more communication in the future.

"Through sharing and communicating in team, I learnt a lot about career planning, and knows better about my future expectation."

"Self-introduction is quite interesting. It lets me know better about myself and others, at the mean time, the volunteer teacher gives us some helpful comments, which makes me understand what's marketing"
